The 4th DC Saturdays protests to support Iranian people
Anti government Iranian protesters gather for the 4th Saturday over the death of Mahsa Amini in Farragut Square, Washington, DC on October 15, 2022. Protester say they keep gathering and protesting every Saturday.
Amini died in morality police custody in Iran after being detained for allegedly not wearing a headscarf (hijab) “properly” in public. Morality police is responsible for enforcing Iran’s strict dress code for women, including the wearing of the headscarf in public.
